Vibrant, desi and airy…head to Rangla Punjab in Pimple Saudagar for the quintessential dhaba feel with a view of the city's skyline.
How Did We Ever Miss This Quirky Dhaba With A Huge Truck On The Rooftop?

What Makes It Awesome?
What makes Rangla Punjab different from the regular off-the-mill dhabas is its gorgeous rooftop setting. The decor feels like a kaleidoscope of colours; from bright ceilings to yellow walls, multi-colour settee seating and a huge funky truck that we don’t know how they managed to bring it up on the rooftop.
With peppy music on the loop and courteous staff, you'll feel like you're in Punjab. It's apt to get all Instagram photos in, if you can't afford a trip to the happy state. Pretend to drink water out of a hand pump, make Bhangara poses in front of colourful backdrops and climb into the truck as if you're living in the pind.
The menu is a mix of multiple cuisines, but we recommend you stick to the authentic Punjabi dishes. There's a lot to choose from for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. And of course, its best to get several plates from the tandoor menu. Order up dahi ke kebab, chicken reshmi tandoori, pindi chana masala, Amritsari paneer, sarso da saang and makki di roti.
Still don't feel like you've been to a Punjabi dhaba? Wash down all the spices with a full-blown lassi Patiala served in larger-than-life Amritsari glasses. If you can finish your glass of lassi and burped, you've definitely had a great time.
For desserts, stick to being desi too and gorge on kesar jalebis, kulfi and warm gulab jamuns. Rangla Punjabi truly knows how to put you in the midst of Punjab, without actually taking you there.
A meal for two will cost you about INR 1000 and you can get a pint of beer for INR 150.
Anything Else?
Apart from Pimple Saudagar, Rangla Punjab has two more outlets, one in Pimple Nilakh and the other in Pashan.
