Rosé is having a moment – thanks to its Instagram-friendly hues, and some trendy rebrands. Guys too are toasting over bottles of blush {brosé anyone?} So join the millenials and down a couple of glasses of the pink wine at your next brunch at these bars and restaurants.

Yauatcha

Rosé and dim sum? Sounds like a brunch to remember. Kolkata’s first Michelin Star restaurant serves Torres de casta {Catalunya, Spain} rosé by the glass {starting at INR 900} and by the bottle {starting at INR 4,500}. Pick up a spot inside the chic industrial restaurant or outside watching the shoppers at the mall walk by, this place is all the glam along with the delicious food.

Fire And Ice

Here’s one more reason to visit this authentic Italian eatery {besides the paper-thin crust pizzas and fresh cheese they use} — they serve rosé. You have to pick up the bottle of Sula Zinfandel {an Indian wine} for INR 1,800 — they don’t serve rosé by the glass. Big bowl of creamy pasta, fresh salad and glass of chilled rosé, sunlight streaming in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, mid-week lunch goals right here.

Myx

Party it up at Myx but keep it classy with some Rosé on the side. Myx serves Rosé Sula Zinfandel  by the glass for INR 399 and by the bottle for INR 1,599. The bar is a hot spot on weekend nights but if want to stay away from the beer {no pot bellies, thank you very much} but still want a buzz, it’s one of the few bars in the city serving Rosé .

Monkey Bar

Quit monkey-ing around and start pink-ing around! Monkey Bar will give you a bottle of Chandon {India} for INR 3,100 inclusive of service charge. You can’t buy rosé by the glass so make sure you grab the whole squad for an afternoon of sipping pink wine and munching on their delectable small plates. Giant windows with sunlight streaming in on their 9th floor premises s all you need to set the vibe to go with your classy wine.

Chapter 2

The 4th floor of Mani Square Mall is home to Chapter 2, Salt Lake’s favourite place to unwind after a long day at work. Apart from their insane happy hours {Monday to Friday, 4 to 7 pm, you get drinks as low as INR 69}, they also serve the Four Seasons Blush Rosé {a domestic wine} by the bottle at INR 1,300.

Traffic Gastropub

No red and green lights, just pink! Traffic is slowly becoming the place to get wasted on a budget. They serve some of the cheapest rosé  in the city – a glass will set you back just INR 350 and the bottle for will cost you INR 1,600. Looking to hang out with the squad or throw a fun birthday treat, here’s where to go.

Ping's Cafe Orient

The newest kid on the block, Ping’s not only serves mean cocktails and authentic dim sum but also tall glasses of rosé . The Lancers Rosé by bottle will set you back INR 2,700 and by glass INR 395. Enjoy lunch in true Bangkok street-style vibe with quirky interiors, funky lights and relaxed vibe. You’ll keep pinging for more!

Anything Else?

Want rosé for your next home party or Sunday brunch? You can pick up a bottle from the Spencer’s liquor section {they have quite an extensive collection with prices as low as INR 1,200} or from the row of liquor shops in New Market or Park Street.

#LBBTip

Rosé is not commonly stocked. You might want to call ahead and check whether the bar or restaurant has a bottle for you.
