#LBBGoa: You'll Fall In Love With Goan Delicacies At Pousada By The Beach In Calangute

My boyfriend and I discovered this hidden gem last year in June when we were walking down Calangute beach sipping on beers.

Pousada's menu consists of local ethnic Goan food and some continental dishes. Joshua {the owner who was assisting us} persuaded me to ditch the spaghetti and order the Goan curry with rice. Being a vegetarian I was hesitant, but to my surprise, it was the best meal I've ever had in Goa. For meat eaters, my boyfriend can definitely vouch for the vindaloo and spicy beef xacuti. The food was absolutely delicious - we licked our bowls clean.

The ambience is peaceful and serene - we spent the afternoon holding hands and listening to the sound of crashing waves. Unlike the buzzing mainstream Britto's and Tito's, this place is located far away from the crowds. It’s an ideal spot to spend some quality time with your bae.

Soak in the sun {or enjoy the rain, an off season visit is a must} and take the scenic route by walking down the beach to get there.

There are two dogs here - the duo Chai and Biscuit will give you the 'pawfect' company while you have your meal.

There is also a gorgeous open area for beach weddings - but if you’re not planning to get married anytime soon take a few pictures {just like we did}.
