Overlooking the green stretch of Deshopriyo Park, Magenta Store & Café is a one-stop joint where you can sip on a coffee, have a bite and also stock up your wardrobe and home accessories.

What Makes It Awesome

It’s a store with an attached small cafe with a curation of jewelry, handicrafts, personal care products, jackets, saris, kurtis and pajamas. An added bonus is that their team isn’t pushy, so there is no pressure to purchase anything. The décor is easy on your eyes - starting with the colourful mirrors that greet you as you walk up the stairs and a 9/3 wall canvas created by city cartoonist Debasish Deb - and it has a cosy environment perfect for enjoying a cuppa while overlooking Deshopriyo Park from the balcony.

You can pick up ethnic as well as Indo-Western dresses, colorful statement necklace pieces, stoles and accessories (natural fabric bags, clutches and purses). Magenta’s line of handmade cold-processed soaps and body oils will leave you feeling and smelling good.

What Could Be Better

The layout does feel a bit cramped.
