Porvorim's First Pub Is Inspired By Beetle Cars & Gives Beer On Tap All Day

Love for the iconic Beetle cars is the inspiration for the owners of Porvorim's cute little pub called The Beetle Pub. Oh, and they were also the descendants of the family that were the proud owners of the first-ever Beetle in Goa, we hear.

Porvorim has loads of cafes, bakeries and restobars but a pub was missing in the list so far. This is why Beetle Pub is a welcome entry to the scene with its chilled beer, great food and the fact that it's open through the day.

So, no more looking for a place to grab a bite post 3pm, as this one is open from noon till midnight. It has an all day dining menu and a bar that not only serves beer on tap, but also has Shree who is happy to make you some cocktails on demand. The place also has a nice grunge garage vibe with wooden floors, retro style posters of Beetle cars, the Beatles, as well as the bar counter where you could perch for hours and sipping on those drinks.

You can get started with some Prawns Tempura or a grilled chicken burger if you feeling hungrier than usual. They have a great selection of other small bites, excellent wood fired pizzas and chocolate pani puris with, making it a perfect pub menu. 

The whole pub is air-conditioned and hence, perfect for those warm afternoons. Or, you could always sit in their garden area and enjoy the pleasant evenings. With mostly retro, jazz music playing (and thankfully not very loud) and TVs screening sports events, it is a great place to just chill after a crazy workday or with a bunch of friends who love retro music. 

Come November, they will have a regular line-up of live music bands playing retro, jazz, blues and old classics.
