Chilling on Vagator road? We've found a hole in the wall joint for you. The place is dimly lit, and the signboard outside is easy to miss but once found, Buon Apetito is a great place for Italian food on a budget. Plus, the soft candlelit ambience makes it perfect for a date night.
Buon Apetito is Harjeet's first cafe (he worked at the popular Piccola Roma nearby for years), and he ensures that every dish is as good, if not better than some of the Italian fine-dine places.
This small restaurant is made up of around 5-6 tables that rest under a tin shed roof, but hey, don't let the appearance throw you off. The food here is freshly-made and is a total value for money. A lovely thin crust pizza that we ordered came generously covered with pepperoni at just around INR 400. A yummy beef lasagne (which again, was a sizeable portion) was INR 350 and a hearty baked cannelloni in a delish tomato, garlic and olive oil was just INR 300.
They have a wonderful range of salads, soups, homemade ravioli, risottos and what we have been told, are the most amazing gnocchi dishes. Since we were too full, especially after eating that yummy crepe with custard (only INR 100), we decided to save their gnocchi for another time.
