From Sydney To Moira: This Designer Label Was Once Worn By Hollywood Celebs

    What Makes It Awesome

Brindisi, a designer brand that was born in Australia has now started afresh from a small studio in the quaint Goan village of Moira. A year of Brinda creating her signature women’s clothing that’s all about clean cuts and timeless fashion, she’s found a loyal set of patrons across Delhi and Goa.

The brand that’s seen the absolute highs of being in the luxury space, is now but happy to be in a mysterious, serene Goa that’s still waking up to classy occasion wear. Back in Australia, Brindisi retailed out of 40 high-end stores and was worn by the who’s who. From the ramp to TV shows and celebrity wardrobes, it enjoyed sharing centrestage with iconic designer labels of the time. And it should have been clear to anyone that this stunning combination of classic silhouettes with an element of drama was going to stand the test of time.

A glance at Brindisi’s luscious evening gowns, skirts, pants, tops, jumpsuits and dresses, and we were blown. Brinda tells us that she’s super picky about the kind of fabrics she works with. Most of them are imported and are made to last; they also lend themselves to the beautiful fall and drape that’s synonymous with Brindisi’s glam evening wear. It’s impossible to unsee a bit of Australia in the design sensibilities everytime we see a billowy white dress or a dreamy linen pant.

If you’re travelling to Goa and would like to get yourself that Brindisi piece for the keeps, COMO in Panjim is the only store they’re currently available at. Otherwise, call them and book yourself an appointment at their Moira studio so you can enjoy the village roads and the intimacy of being in a picturesque designer studio. The prices start at INR 8k and go up to 16k.

‘I’m still stuck in the InStyle magazine genre,’ Brinda told us and it’s not a surprise then, that they aren’t the most social media savvy brand around. Having said that, you can order these pieces off their Instagram or Facebook page.
