Okay, we will probably still need to rent a scooter or taxi while travelling inland. But with this new service that started in December, at least we can travel in style, comfort and soak in the beautiful Goan coastline as soon as we land. And this 40-seater catamaran comes equipped with seat belts, charging points, an air-conditioned lounge, clean bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, snacks and beverages. Plus, since the company Drishti Marine also trains, provides and manages the lifeguards on Goa’s beaches, they will have a few on-board too for any emergencies.
All you need to do once you land at the airport is look for the free air-conditioned shuttle which will take you to their jetty in Vasco. Oh, and did we mention that they will offer luggage assistance too? So no need to carry your baggage on board, just let their team do it for you. Grab a seat and chose your destination from Sinquerim jetty near Aguada, Panjim or Baga. They will, of course, have more locations being added in the North as well as the South parts of Goa in the near future.
So, We're Saying...
You can also use the ferries to hop from Panjim to Baga or back, and once they kick off operations in the south, that means no more three-hour-long car rides. Just take a catamaran and reach there in minutes, as both their boats are high-speed and awesome. Click here for more details and booking.
Please note that this service will not operate in the monsoon months from June till September.
