The Goa Collective Bazaar

What's Happening

The Goa Collective Bazaar at HillTop is a new Friday night flea market that hosted its first edition this month. With 100 stalls, live music, a bar, a kids area and food, they’re a unique set-up that come with the promise of ‘everything curated with love’.

Asha Rao, the Bangalore-based founder of Soul Sante made Goa her home years ago. Her love for hosting markets went down so well with the creative folks (all based out of Goa or staying her for long periods) that soon, she was joined by the owner of HillTop, Starling, his fiance Luna and an old time hippie and designer, Katja in her idea of a curated flea for Goa. Everything finally took shape and they’re now ready with their special Christmas edition on Dec 21.

Trippy tees, Mario Miranda’s artworks, a sassy new haircut under the tree, gorgeous accessories, mouth harps, shell anklets, yoga mats, natural skincare… This freewheeling market is full of amazing knick knacks. Don’t believe us? Then go and see it for yourself. Don’t forget to check out Malini Ramani’s stall with her new yoga line and Pia Pauro’s colourful resort wear. Mermaids Boutique, Anamcara and Alchemy are other Goa-based brands that are huge draws. Oh hey, and if you’re done shopping, hot dogs and ramen bowls are calling out.

Since it’s Goa, no market is complete without a bar. So, yes, grab a beer at Luna's cocktail bar while the children have fun making masks and dreamcatchers.

The line-up of artists (they believe in switching things up every week) is announced on their social media. Rest assured though that the musical acts (both the DJs and bands) are curated by folks who are experts in their fields. That apart, there are also fire dancers, LED shows and the like. So guys, we're talking a total hipster bazaar feeling but only more merry.

How's The Venue

Hilltop in Vagator regularly hosts big and small events. It has been a big must-do on the tourist itinerary for a night of alcohol, music and partying. Their expertise in catering to large crowds and ability to deck up their open space in trippy colours and a Goa vibe obviously helps bring the market to life. In fact, each stall here is a sight to behold... An Instagram dream, if you must.

Make A Note

The timings are 3pm-2am. Also, the market will be around for the tourist season, hosting its final bazaar in the end of March.
