There's An International Jazz Festival Happening In Goa This December: Who's Going?
Why Should I Go?
The 2017 edition sets another benchmark for Jazz fans in India. GIJLF has always been about bringing in international and national jazz acts that are experimental, contemporary and entertainers to the core. This year they already have Jojo Mayer the legendary drummer alongwith Nerve as the headlining act. He is best known for bringing together jazz with drums and bass, jungle and other musical influences. He leads the live electronica trio of Nerve. Add renowned French trumpeter Erik Truffaz, who will be collaborating with Riatsu, to the mix and we expect the two nights to be legendary.
India’s finest jazz band The Latination will be performing their Latin jazz music, which is still a new sound in India. Kefaya from the UK will return to India after their last successful tour here. The Florian Favre Trio from Switzerland and Pol Belardi’s Urban Voyage from Luxembourg are also set to perform and make this December a very jazzy one.
Stonewater Eco Resort, which is located on a cliff at Bogmalo, is definitely a great location for a jazz concert. You can expect great sunsets, legendary tunes, and some great food and drinks.
