Women travellers, listen up! Goa’s first women-only hostel has set up shop in Anjuna, and better still — only a few metres from the beach! Located in a quiet and peaceful area, while being only a stone’s throw away from all the hip restaurants and bars around, this property is the perfect haven for women travellers — be it a solo woman travelling to take a break from the city life, or a bunch of women travelling together looking to spend a fun holiday.
We love the fact that the property has taken great care to cater to the needs of women travellers, and curated a fun vibe that is teeming with feminine energy. The dorm rooms are warm and comfy, with only 4–6 bunk beds in each room with delightfully comfy mattresses, clean linen and secure lockers. In fact, matching the standard of international hostels, each of the beds have their own personal fan, reading light and electrical sockets. The rooms have bathrooms attached with hot showers and hair dryers. It is these small but thoughtful additions that we love about Luna!
Beautifully painted in calming blue, the hostel is very close local Anjuna hotspots like the flea markets, and is often occupied by travelling women artists from all over, who add their feminine touch to the space, be it in the form of making a painting on the walls, or spinning some great tunes, or just making some great friends over coffee. The hostel even has an in-house, professional dreadlock and rasta hair colouring service. A complimentary breakfast, pleasant staff and some great camaraderie that often leads to legendary party nights!
