What, When, How: A Guide To Enjoying The Goa Science Centre With The Kids
What Makes It Awesome
The Goa Science Centre, located across the beachfront just near Miramar Circle, is a fun learning centre that creates an environment where kids explore and learn about science through hands-on sci-fi exhibits.
Here you can let your kids operate, handle or manipulate scientific pieces and exhibits and experience their effects first-hand. It’s like being in a live science experiment! The Science Centre also has an outdoor science park spread over some four acres — prehistoric animal exhibits, science based games pepper the playground. There is also the planetarium and a mirror room that could be great fun both for you and your kids.
Next, there is a unique 3D theatre facility, which screens exciting documentaries on various topics. Our favourite? The oceanography section with its simplistic but detailed explanations of concepts like tectonic waves, tides, currents and loads more on ocean ecologies around the globe.
They are open every day from 10am-6pm except on Holi and Diwali. They have multiple daily shows at the planetarium and 3D shows, so check ahead and time your visit accordingly.
