Joet’s is the place you must visit when you are anywhere around Dabolim, Vasco or Bogmalo. It’s a perfect way to spend an afternoon once the sun gets stronger and goes up right on top and the beach starts feeling too hot.
Located on the corner of the Bogmalo beach, Joet’s has ample parking. It has gone from being a basic shack to a cosy place and is open for lunch and dinner, both. The moment you step in, you are welcomed with the typical beach blues and whites along with full sized glass windows that allow you to enjoy the views seamlessly. Thanks to the location, you can enjoy the breeze and even read a book.
The staff at Joet’s are very hospitable and have some fantastic suggestions. This restaurant and bar serve Indian, Tandoori, Chinese, Continental and Goan. The latter is the must have there as the seafood is fresh. The drinks menu is varied, and they do serve urrak in the season.
Apart from the delicious food and stunning views, this South Goa spot also has live music over the weekends and holidays. The hit duo Celeste and Adrian bring in their keyboard and guitar to play live every Sunday afternoon from 12.30 PM to 4 PM. Their set includes a fantastic mix of genres from the 70s to the modern-day pop hits and cannot be missed. They play the classics like Shania Twain, The Police and everything else in between. The best part is, they also happily accept requests so start prepping that list.
Once your tummy is full, the sun will be less strong and it's a good time to take a stroll on the beach.
