What Makes It Awesome

Arambol beach remains almost as unspoiled today as it was before tourism changed the Goan coast. It is an untouched haven, away from the hassle of vendors and large tourists groups. At sunset, music sessions take place around a camp fire.

This area is famous for its picturesque fresh water lake {officially named Vagkolam}. The lake is fed by hot springs and lined with sulphurous mud, and is a favorite among the hippie crowd who take mud baths here. Beyond the lake, is a spectacular banyan tree with a stone sculpture.

‘Glastonbury Street’ leading to the beach is lined with boutiques where one can purchase handicrafts, jewellery or hippie-style beachwear.

What's My Pro Tip?

Adventurists can try paragliding or hang gliding from the beach’s northern hilltop by arranging a tour in Arambol village. Make sure to take your own sun lotion and water on the journey, as some hawkers sell fake products.

Anything Else?

Kalacha Beach is also known as Paliem Beach and lies just north from Arambol beach. This beach is only accessible on foot.
