Luxurious air-conditioned tents, wooden cabins or an old Indo-Portuguese house are all on offer at this beautiful resort. Not to mention it is right on the beach and open throughout the year.

Why Should I Go?

Yes you read it correct, though everything on the beach pretty much shuts down in Ashvem, we found La Cabana Beach & Spa Resort that is open throughout the year. So if you want to experience the stormy seas, or the magic of monsoons in Goa but still be away from the crowded stretches then La Cabana is where you need to head to.

What Do I Need To Take?

Nothing. They have an Indo- Portuguese style villa, Beach Facing Villa & Chalet Rooms, as well as Tents and Log cabins. All are air-conditioned with luxurious amenities made even more special with their warm Goan hospitality. After all, the owner is a Goan who worked with various airlines across Mumbai, Europe and knows his stuff. Pramod & his lovely wife Supriya live in Goa and are generally around to look after you. And if they are not there, then their manager Hari will always be around with a smile. And we liked that they have prices that range from INR 5,000, during the monsoon months to INR 40,000 during the peak December/January week for their different rooms. So whatever your budget, there will be a place for you here.

Anything Else?

They have a lovely wooden deck overlooking the beach and offers uninterrupted views of the sea. So take that beer and enjoy those stormy monsoons or just that wonderful sunset during the other months. Or even go to their beach-facing restaurant that serves all kinds of cuisine to go with whichever mood you are in. They have an Italian restaurant on the upper floor starting soon, so we can’t wait to go try out their food. They have recently also opened one of Ashvem’s first dessert and patisserie, called Café Karibu serving the most divine macarons as well as eggless and other dessert options, ice creams, thick milkshakes or small bites.

They even have a spa that offers regular massages as well as personalized treatments, yoga classes or just a cabana to laze by the beachfront. And on the days when you are feeling to lazy to walk to the beach, just lounge in their pool. With a huge lawn as well as a meeting room, this is where we would have that destination wedding without breaking the bank. That is probably why they already have 40 weddings confirmed for this season.

The ever-popular La Plage & Elevar restaurants are just a hop, skip & jump away, so you can pretty much walk there and crawl back without having to pay exorbitant taxi rates.
