Travellers from Mumbai and Pune, we’d like you to brace yourself for what’s coming. With this recommendation, the way you think about hotel rooms and road trips may change forever.

What Makes It Awesome

Wacation On Wheels is an awesome Nagpur-based company, started by Neha Soman who got tired of calling travel companies for an RV camper (they couldn’t find a reliable service). Deciding to take matters in their own hands, they started Wacation on Wheels in November 2016.

The service offers two kinds of campers – a seven-seater and a nine-seater (INR 20,000 a day). They come with a driver and a helper who will clean the vehicle for you to have a hassle-free vacay. The facilities include a gas stove, a barbecue grill, solar panels to give you hot water, a shower, TV and a generator for power backup.

If you're travelling with these folks to Goa, from either Mumbai or Pune, they suggest a 3-4 day trip. We were told that they have access and permission for two beaches in Goa Agonda and Anjuna, where the camper can get parked and you can have a beach day/night. They're even open to taking you to both of these so you're road tripping from North to South and enjoying all the lovely scenery on the way. Did we mention the barbecue grill opens out from the side of the van?

You can cook on your own or explore local food around the beaches but if we were you, we'd make good use of the BBQ. Oh, and while you're travelling, there's also a TV and a music system to ring in the good times.

What Could Be Better

The camper just underwent a makeover but truth be told, we preferred the interiors earlier. We're guessing though that despite this, it's such a fun way to gather the gang and do a sleepover-meets-Goa-trip without the insane flight prices.

Pro-Tip

You can travel upto 250 kms a day in the costs mentioned above, fuel included. In case you want to travel further, you’ll have to pay INR 50 per km after the limit. If you insist on air conditioning while the camper is parked, you will be charged INR 300/hr after four four hours of free usage. The state tolls will also need to be paid by the guests.
