This stone-built beauty is situated between the wilderness that leads to Anjuna beach {next to St. Micheals Church}, and is definitely worth a visit for more than just one reason.
The property has 26 rooms, which includes the suites; all the rooms face the pool, which also has an attached bar btw {so you can almost always have your favourite cocktail in hand}.
Cafe Cotinga {their crown jewel} is open 24 hours, and serves some killer desserts and snacks. The food here is phenomenal {specially the Goan fare} and is served fresh, but what won us over was the breakfast buffet which is complimentary for all guests; outsiders can avail it for INR 300, too.
Some dishes that you should definitely try are the Roasted Tamarind Fish, Prawn Rava Fry, Grilled Prawn Lemon Butter Sauce, Pomfret Masala Fried, blueberry cheesecake and Oreo Mousse Cheesecake.
Stone-Walled Safehouse
The reason we call it a stone-walled safehouse is that the hotel sees a lot of single female travellers and has a strict no-nonsense policy, making it the safest spot in the area.
Bicycles are available for free for those who want to explore, and they even rent out scootys, bikes and more.
Special Nights
The Cafe hosts special nights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, with indie movies from across the world, bands from across India, and salsa.
Life Is A Beach
The property is equidistant to three beaches, but do not let that stop you from visiting other places. There’s a lot for those who want to party, but we would urge you to see Goa as a traveller and not just as a tourist aiming to getting high.
Take a Vespa and just get out. Over a span of two days, we travelled more than a 100 kilometres, visiting Anjuna, Vagator, Calangute, Morjhim, Ashvem, Mandrem, Arambol, Little Vagator, Bogmalo and Hollant beach {some of which we bet you haven’t seen} and still missed out on a lot of the great ones.
A must-visit out of these is the Hollant beach, about 10 minutes from the airport, and is a place that will win you over with its beauty—it’s still untouched and oh so peaceful.
