How to reach: Located in Quepem (South Goa), Palacio do Deao is about 40 km from Dabolim Airport and 16 km from Madgaon (Margao) railway station. You can reach the mansion by taxi or local bus, and it’s easily accessible by car or scooter from Panaji (approximately 30 km away).

Nearby attractions: Make sure to visit the peaceful Sal River while you’re at Palacio do Deao! You can enjoy stunning river views, take a relaxing boat ride, or just stroll along the banks. After that, head over to Cavelossim Beach for a lovely afternoon and catch the sunset, it’s absolutely beautiful! Lesser-known fact: This 213 years old mansion was built by a Portuguese noble man, who was the Dean of the Church, and founder of Quepem town. The house faces the Church he built and is on the banks of the wildly beautiful Kushavati River. It provides a serene and scenic backdrop for visitors. The gardens are full of exotic plants, fountains, and traditional Goan greenery, giving the place a peaceful, old-world vibe that’ll make you feel like you’ve stepped into a historical fairytale.
