Shortcut

Located in Colomb at the south end of the Palolem, Bhakti Kutir will take you back to the rural style of living, but with all comforts intact. Located in a 2 acre coconut grove, it has 22 nature cabanas. Best part  - no two cabanas are the same!

What Makes It Awesome

The fact that the natural surroundings become part of your lifestyle  - at least during the period of your vacation. The cabanas are the perfect getaway from the concrete jungles that our cities have become. Each cabana is fashioned from local materials like bamboo, mud, rice materials etc. With trees and leaves built into their design, these are perfect for star-gazing on those quiet, romantic Goa nights.

The cabanas are all priced differently (the tariffs vary between INR 1.3k to 2.3k a night), depending on amenities and season, and most come with a private sit-out area and attached bathrooms . Others will have a reserved private facility serving that particular cabana, a few paces away. Additionally, the place also offers special prices for long stays.

This hidden gem also has an in-house restaurant, set under the swaying coconut trees. Though primarily vegetarian, the restaurant also offers vegan specialities and separately cooked fresh fish from the catch of the day. The restaurant is open to both visitors and guests and specialises in wholesome food that is gluten and GM free using fresh, local, and seasonal produce. The attached juice bar spoils you with choice of innovative drinks.

Bhakti Kutir has a dedicated yogashala and an ayurvedic centre and regularly hosts yoga retreats and workshops. The Ayurveda Centre - Kailasa, offers naturopathic and Kerela Ayurvedic remedies, where all treatments are conducted by experienced therapists. It also hosts spiritual and classical music evenings, from jazz to Indian flute concerts by eclectic musicians from all over the world. A recent addition is their charity shop, which is in keeping with their principle of giving back to nature and the community.

What Could Be Better

The place is located in the heart of nature, so you will encounter small insects and bugs. So, definitely remember to carry loads of mosquito repellent.

Pro-Tip

The charity shop and farmers market that the folks host shut down between April to September end.
