Italy via Punjab is the newest addition on Prabhat Road, where they intend to create a place which emphasis on the fusion of Italian and Punjabi cuisine (Desi × Videshi) 😍. The vibe is something you will definitely enjoy. It has a Dhaba style interiors and it is conceived in such a way that the seating area comprises of everything that a fusion of Italian cafe and Punjabi dhaba should have, right from comfy tables and chairs(made out of scooters and cans) to swings and even baithaks (like the one we notice on the roadside dhabas). Every element is so thoughtful at this place.
What foodiesoulmates hogged here-
We started with some mocktails- Kiwi cool and Strawberry Lime, both were super refreshing and perfect beverages to sip on while enjoying your meal.
•Appetizers•
Anjir ke Kebab- Anjir ke Kebab, ain't that something interesting?! Their chef's special dish which is curated by using raw bananas and figs. We were sceptical as to how it will taste, but it was awesome. It had a mild sweetness to taste and it is served it raita and green chutney.
Palak Makai Cheese ke roll- Deep fried rolls stuffed with palak, corn and sufficient amount of cheese was a bomb dish here. The super crispy texture and a healthy and cheesy filling make it a must-have here. It is served with assorted dips.
Nimbu Mirch Mushroom- A well-marinated mushrooms were cooked well and every bite had a very distinct nimbu flavour in it (but it was on a higher level which doesn't make it more enjoyable).
•Main Course•
Punjabi Kaju Curry- We never had Kaju curry before in any restaurant, and let me let you guys this curry was so lip-smackingly good, cooked rightly in the blend spices having a good consistency to it. 😋
Paneer Tikka Cannelloni- Yes, you read it right. It's a desi version of Pasta. Cannelloni rolls were stuffed with paneer tikka stuffings with veggies. One bite and it just blew my mind. It is served along with paneer tikka curry and baby garlic naans.
•Dessert•
Tiramisu- Indulge yourself in this soulful Italian treat. That layer of rich mascarpone filling will leave you to crave more of it.
