What To Expect At Vengurla Beach
Things You Will Love At Vengurla Beach
Vengurla is a beach destination for offbeat travellers and nature lovers, owing to the sights and sounds that this town has to offer. A semi-circular range of hills surrounds this beach town and Vengurla Beach is a quiet and secluded spot to enjoy jaw-dropping views of the ocean.
The beaches are blessed with crystal-clear water and offer a sense of peace and calm. The lighthouse, perched on a hill, is the highest point from where you can enjoy a view of the Vengurla beach, and we recommend visiting this spot during sunset. A local fish market is set up at the Vengurla Jetty every evening, and if you wish to shop for other souvenirs, especially cashews, and spices, the local market at Shiroda on Sundays is perfect for finding these treasures.
Vengurla was burnt down in the 18th century, and these scars remain in the form of a cluster of rocks. This cluster is a rocky island known as Burnt Island, known as a breeding ground for a rare species of bird - the Indian Swiftlet. A visit comes highly recommended for bird lovers and those who love nature photography.
Vengurla is also famous for the Shri Ganesh, Shri Vetoba, Shri Rameshwar, Shri Vetoba, Shri Navadurga and Shri Mauli temples.
LBB Tip: If you happen to visit anytime between March to June, don’t leave without indulging in some fresh, juicy Alphonso mangoes grown here.
