Whale in the Pond is an indie band from Kolkata, comprising singer-songwriter-musician Sourjyo Sinha, multi-instrumentalist and producer Shireen Ghosh and guitarist-percussionist Deep Phoenix. They mostly perform original music in a variety of genres from folk to dream pop to punk. The songs are mainly in English, but they also have a couple of originals in Sylheti.
