Bored of fairy lit interiors? Want to ditch the air conditioning and get some fresh air instead? We stumbled upon a little cafe with a bird’s eye view and here are the details!

What Makes It Awesome

The cafe sits atop Mother’s Wax Museum on the 6th floor. It may seem a bit austere with a few tables and chairs laid out and a basic menu but what catches one’s attention is definitely the view! Long stretches of the lush greenery, clouds and, if you are lucky, even a rainbow! We settled down and ordered instant coffee (INR 30).

Here’s the deal – it’s not a popular spot and the crowd doesn’t flock here, so it gives you a chance to sit for hours. Catch up on some reading or do a date differently! It’s difficult to focus on anything other than the scenery though. We played an “I spy” game where we spotted the Eiffel Tower in Eco Park, Mamata’s sci-fi inspired gate, a tree full of migratory birds, and got lucky with a rainbow! If you choose to sit on the right side of the building, you get frontal views of Eco-Park. It’s splendid during the late evening when the sun sets and you can catch the park lights get reflected on the lake after dark (the cafe shuts at 7pm).

The menu is not extravagant but it’ll fill you up. We recommend trying their grilled sandwiches (INR 100 for chicken, INR 90 for veg), the chicken/mochar chop (INR 60) or some muffins (INR 50 for 2) with tea (INR 20)! These simple treats compliment a moody evening.

Pro-Tip

For serial selfie takers, there are photo booths near the entrance of Mother’s Wax Museum, so go crazy
