What's Happening

Swiss electronic music genius POL is performing at Zee's Cafe today evening at 7pm. POL is an electronic music producer since the dawn of the 90s. Nested between the persistent hammering of an electro dancefloor and the dark backstages of the post-industrial civilisation, POL infiltrates his music into our world by every mean.

From the techno underworld of Geneva to the clubs of Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, New York, Lisbon, Bogota and other cities, POL has been around the world. On the screen, his productions have been featured in the arty zombie movies of cult director Bruce LaBruce, and in Quand j’étais chanteur, with Cécile de France and Gérard Depardieu (whose original soundtrack features a track produced by POL with his former team-mate Water Lilly.

Make A Note

Zareen (also, affectionately called ‘Zee’) and her music producer and DJ husband Varun Desai organise vinyl evenings on Sundays. With two rare Technic 1200 turntables in the house and several rare vinyl records to Varun’s collection, drop by on Sundays to catch popular city musicians like Reevu Wangdi, Saptarshi ‘Sammy’ Bhattacharya, Josh Mukherjee and others bring in their music of rock, funk, jazz and hip hop and spin the vinyls. Interestingly, if you’ve got a few (or may be more) vinyls, you can bring them along with a needle and can be a part of the session, too!
