You can't be further away from truth if you think kids only want fun and games to keep it together. The curious toddler or the restless eight-year old need more to keep away boredom than a play set, cartoons or a frisbee. Goethe Institut and ThinkArts is coming back with their Arts For Juniors programme very soon, and as a prequel to it they are hosting a three-day workshop for the kiddies (between ages 8 - 12) to sign up.
The Roman elders couldn't stress enough on the importance of arts in our lives, and if present day situations are to be considered, the need for art and culture can't be overestimated. Introduce your kiddies to the magic of books, music and art at this workshop conducted by the Goethe Institut and ThinkArts. Each of the three days will be dedicated to exploring different kinds of art - the works of author Otfried Preussler on the first, the music of Beethovan on the second and the artworks of Gerhard Richter on the third.
