Ashari, a huge sterilisation effort that included not just Ballygunge but also Park Circus, Lohapool, Samsul Huda Road, Beckbagan, Topsia, and Kasba, was started with the assistance of an NGO and an animal sanctuary. They have sterilised more than 400 dogs in the last four years. At this amazing animal shelter, the furry creatures are treated like members of the family. Most importantly, they are reasonably priced.
