What Makes It Awesome

There's finally a place in the city where you can share your love for popular K-pop band - the Bangtan Boys.

Yes! You read that right. There's a BTS-themed cafe that recently opened doors in the city and we can hardly control our excitement. Bite That Spoon - The Cafe is basically a house inside a narrow lane in Santoshpur that's been turned into this really quiet, cosy and homely cafe. The walls are adorned with posters, pictures and frames of the boy band and their albums. One of the rooms has a wall with pictures of the boy band hanging from a tree-shaped board stuck on it as well as notes and messages from those who've visited the cafe. The other room has a bookshelf on one wall while the other is adorned with frames of all the albums BTS has released till date.

Part of the 'Army' (for those who don't know what the question means - are you a Bangtan Boys loyalist)? Share your love and 'bias' (favourite boy from the band) with the super chill hosts while gorging on delish Korean-style food. Don't worry if you've never heard of the band before. Let the hosts enlighten you while the band music plays in the background.

Coming to the food, you have to try their Vegetable Rameyon - their version of the Korean ramen with veggies and mushroom in a mild spicy broth mixed with Gochujang sauce and some Indian spices and sauces to suit the local palette. The Pork Bulgogi Cheese Steak Burger served with crisps and their in-house sauce is every pork addict's go-to dish. Wash it all down with their signature drink Boy Meets Evil - a lemon, chilli flakes and sugar syrup mixture garnished with 'current noon' (the salt you'll find chaatwallahs using). End that amazing meal with their version of the choco lava cake and leave with a happy heart.

Pro-Tip

Did you know the cafe celebrates birthdays of the band members with much pomp and show? Yes! It's a fun event that you must attend. Keep tabs on their social media pages.
