After the Lakes, now Deshapriya Park is all set to host a musical evening – and it’s free for all!
Broke Folks, Head To This Free Live Music Concert This Saturday
Shortcut
What Is It?
Ditch the rock bands and Justin Bieber this weekend and zone out to classical Indian music. Live In Parks will host four performers at a concert who will be playing Hindustani and Carnatic jugalbandi at Deshapriya Park.
The concert is totally free and open for all. No prior reservations, no tickets needed – this is where you need to go for an impromptu Saturday evening well spent. Get to watch some classical music at its absolute best. Shruti Sarathy on violin, Deepsankar Bhattacharjee on sitar, N. Shankar on the mridangam and Arindam Chakravarty will be on the tabla.
Why Should I Go?
Because it’s free! And the weather is absolutely perfect for an evening out. You can keep a tab on the Live In series – they have a bunch of events over the weekend most of which are free and open to all.
Anything Else?
You might want to load up on the Odomos – the area tends to have lots of mosquitoes hovering around. If you’re looking to grab a bite, there’s no shortage of roadside food stalls and phuchkawallas to satisfy your cravings.
When: November 18.
Time: 6 pm.
Where: Deshapriya Park.
