Juicy Lucy To The Heisenberger: This Maddox Square Joint's Burgers Are Awesomesauce!

Skewers is a burger joint in Maddox Square that does crazy good, juicy, meaty burgers themed around popular TV shows. But we recommend you order in rather than visit their tiny joint.

The other day we ordered burgers from a joint that showed up on Swiggy and in the process made the best discovery ever! The burgers from Skewers were among the best we have ever had. We tried the Juicy Lucy Beef Burger (INR 325) with bacon rashers, lettuce, mayo , grilled mushrooms and a special sauce. It lived up to its name — the ground meat patty was juicy, meaty and yet light and not overwhelming in this heat.

If bacon is your bae, you must try their Death By Triple Bacon Burger (INR 350) with three slices of bacon over a patty, baconnaise (bacon-infused mayonnaise) and heavenly onion jam. The Rum Rollover Burger (INR 275) had us swooning with its tangy and sweet combo of a rum-glazed pineapple mayo over a beef patty with sliced pickled jalapenos, cheese and lettuce.

Love GoT? Try their Mountain Clegane Beef Burger (INR 350). Not for the fainthearted, it’s got these two meaty beef patties and a Juicy Lucy patty with bacon and sausages, pickles and more. We think two people can have a go at this artery buster! They also do a series of fish and chicken burgers like the Fishy Wishy with a beer batter fried bhetki patty (did we mention we loved the names?). The Surf And Turf burger has garlicky calamari over a beef patty. Heisenberger is a crispy fried chicken, mayo, lettuce, tomato, specially made methamphetamine lookalike cheese sauce inspired by Breaking Bad!

We’ve been going on about the burgers but they also do other stuff equally well. We tried their chicken club sandwich and give it two thumbs up for the fresh ingredients, generous portions and the perfectly toasted bread. We didn’t try any of the main courses, but of the burgers and sandwiches are anything to by, we’re sure they’ll pass the test. Next time we are trying the Fried Chicken In A Basket (INR 275), Stuffed Fish And Chips: bhetki stuffed with spinach and cheese and panko coated and fried {INR 425} and the Seafood Paella with Garlic Sauce {INR 425}.

We visited the restaurant soon after ordering on Swiggy because we wanted to check out who was behind such badass burgers. The place was a tad small, and the one guy who was there was not quite friendly or forthcoming when we asked about the menu. We’d recommend you order from here instead of eating at the joint.
