Ever heard of a brand that uses only buttons and rubber bands to make clothes? No? Well, then, say hello to Button Masala.
The brand believes in sustainable clothing and uses a pretty simple and cheap technique to make clothes super fast without using any tools or machines. It uses only buttons and rubber bands to put the clothes together without really stitching them. The buttons are inserted into the fabric and secured using rubber bands, making it possible to open the whole garment and restructure it the way you want in the size you want. Not just clothes, they make curtains, cushion covers bags, shoes, pouches as well as masks using the same method!
We spotted a couple of pieces made using sea shells and plastic waste and loved how unique and stylish they looked. If you like to keep it a little loud and fancy, check out this headgear in grey that also doubles up as a neck piece! That's not it. Ever imagined a dress made using tea cups? Now you can thanks to Button Masala. I also loved the khadi and gamcha checks as well as the layered dresses.
It's amazing how they do not cut or stitch any fabric, just use buttons and rubber bands to attach them together. Cool, right?
