Saraswati Pujo is just around the corner and we are already getting busy with the pujo fordo (to-do list), and fine tuning the rehearsals for the cultural performance at college or at the para. Pujo day is sorted, but for pre-pujo fun Udaan along with Kalkutta Komposers and Kalkutta Komedians is putting together a mini fest at Calcutta 64.
It's a day-long affair and one which includes food, live performances, adda and a whole lotta fun. Somewhat like a really tiny version of a lit fest, Calcutta Tales will have a poetry open mic to kick off the fest. There's no age limit and certificates will be given to all participants. This will be followed by a writing workshop that will be conducted by Tales To Tell. The workshop will try to address all such queries that an aspiring writer can have, besides tackling big topics like writer's block and words not to use.
The final at is a session of raucous laughter as comics take over the mic. An open event for all, this will also welcome participants from the previous other sessions to share their jokes.
