What Makes It Awesome

Located right opposite Black Brick Cafe and adjacent to Momo Plaza, Orchid is a small restaurant that serves really good Tibetan and Chinese food without burning a hole in your pocket. The entrance is really small but there's a huge hoarding with the name of the restaurant, so you can't miss it if you're walking down that lane.

The interiors are done up quite well with off-white walls and quite a spacious seating arrangement in the outer section of the restaurant. The inside section is quite cramped though. The staff is courteous but the service is slow.

We tried the Crispy Chilli Babycorn, Chinese Chopsuey, Veg Schezwan Fried Rice and Devil's Chicken. Most of the food was tasty but we weren't really impressed with the babycorn. Also, the Chinese Chopsuey is available only in non-veg but if you request the manager to give it to you in veg, he'll willingly oblige.

The restaurant is currently open only on the ground floor but will open a small section on the first floor as well in a few months.

This place is perfect for all you college-goers and all those looking for a budget-friendly place to eat after a tiring shopping session. A meal for two will cost you just about INR 350-400!

What Could Be Better

The service is really slow and some of the food is a little oily. The seating arrangement is also quite cramped.

Pro-Tip

The quantity is quite a lot so be careful about how much you order.
