Copperplate is a form of calligraphy done with a pointed metal calligraphy nib. Originating in the 16th and 17th centuries, the style is primarily used in English and American calligraphic traditions. It will be a two-day exhaustive workshop wherein you'll be introduced to copperplate script, taught basic strokes, lowercase letters and lowercase flourishing. On the second day, you will gradually move to uppercase letters, uppercase flourishing, basic flourishing and connecting letters and composition methods.
