What's Happening

Sending a shoutout to all you aspiring architecture designers, this exhibition being hosted by Kolkata Centre for Creativity, is bringing down your dream team. Death Of Architecture, Circa 2000 is a travelling exhibition, that is travelling across 18 Indian cities over a year. They believe that the current state of architecture needs prompt examining and investigations.

This exhibition will present a 260 feet running panel where 13 of India's most renowned architectural firms are showcasing their thoughts. They are putting out a well thought out plan, keeping in consideration the urban lifestyle balanced with the heritage of the city, and how it effects architecture, on a larger scale.

Their aim is to highlight the pertaining issues in today's lifestyle of architecture due to globalization and in the process, come up with a better tomorrow. Change is the only constant. With changing times, so does every other aspect. This exhibition aims at keeping in mind the thought of the past, the situations of the present and the needs of the future and put forward their thoughts in the form of evocative art, prose and poetry. 

It will be inaugurated by the eminent architect, Abin Choudhuri and the exhibition will also see faces like Ayan Sen, Partho Ranjan Das, Shuvaprasanna, Suparna Bhalla, Iftekhar Ahsan (founder of Calcutta Walks) and many more.  

How's The Venue

The event will be held at 777 Anandapur, an industrial estate located in East Calcutta.

The exhibition is free for all.

The exhibition will go on from December 1 till December 8. But the center will be closed on Monday.
