What Makes It Awesome?

Other than being an amazing restaurant serving major chill vibes and healthy, street style Asian food, Ping's cafe is also the hub for all things fun. From their quirky interiors to the fun menu, everything is close-knit to the pop culture.
And its time they pull a big one out of the hat. Introducing, 'Quickie Lunch' - a concept that is bound to grab eyeballs.
Short on time? Grab a quickie. On a deadline? Grab a quickie. So what is a quickie? (Not 'the' one that you are thinking of, silly!)

With an intentional fun pun wordplay, this concept is a new addition to the menu and explores the various options one can have in a quick lunch set up. It features a two-course meal plus a beverage of your choice.

Let's take a look at the finer details now::

Dimsum + Main + Mocktail, which is priced around INR 595 AI, while the cocktail/beer version comes at a price of INR 645 AI.

Salad + Bao + Mocktail is priced at INR 575 AI, while the cocktail/beer version comes at a price of INR 625 AI.

Kinda obvious, I went with the Dimsum Combination which comprised of Peking Chicken Dim sums with 4 dips (Chilli Oil, Black Pepper Sauce, Chinkiang Vinegar and Peking sauce), For the Main - Duck stewed rice with Bokchoy and Truffle Oil, and Choice of Beverage - Thai Lemongrass Cooler.

Apparently, that wasn't enough for me (because I saw the other side of the menu and found this delish baos and couldn't resist. Lol) and I ended up ordering some more (note: Ala carte) Pork Charsui Bao, Chicken and Water Chestnut Salad, a Mimosa and Gin and Tea. I know what you're thinking, yes I got a wee bit tipsy!

So what do I think about the food?

• Pork Charsui baos are a must have. The melt in the mouth juicy and succulent pork, with a lovely sauce and crunchy peanuts on top, make for a flavourful bite and perfect balance of textures.

• The Duck stewed rice was a revelation. A juicy and flavourful duck that was cooked in the broth that rendered the perfect balance of flavours to the dish. The rice was creamy and flavoured brilliantly. The bokchoy added the much-needed crunch and the truffle oil cut through the rich and creamy texture of the dish - hands down the winner of the day!

• To end the meal on a high, I ordered (read: suggestion) Hot Chocolate Foam with Rum. (Yes, more booze) You need to try this to understand the richness and depth of flavours. An absolute must-have!

At this point, I'd say drop everything, sneak out of your office and grab a quickie while you can.
And while booze is definitely ready and strong here, do not forget to give their mocktails a try!

What Could Be Better?

More booze I guess?!
