It’s an Easter Sunday this week, perfect for scoffing chocolate eggs and chasing the Easter bunny, and also gorging on the delicious Easter special menus. Fill up on every kind of egg dish, roasted lamb, plenty of hot cross buns and more at these restaurants.

Westin

Head here with the fam for a day of Easter egg hunts and egg decorations. Kids especially get to enjoy Easter, with a cupcake decoration activity, organised specially for them. Chocolate bunnies will be up for grabs to take back home. Their all-day dining restaurant, Seasonal Tastes, is offering an Easter Sunday brunch with maple-glazed pork chops, snow peas, apple calvados confit, New Zealand lamb chops, and hassle back potatos,  along with hot cross buns,  Easter eggs and bunnies, Banofee cake, pecan nut tart, bangers and mash, and much more. An interactive Goan food counter will also be live.  Sip on bottomless glasses of sangrias priced at INR 499 AI {per person} available alongside the Easter buffet {12:30 – 3pm}. Prices for the Sunday brunch is INR 1,399 per person plus taxes.

The Salt House

Celebrate new beginnings and everlasting happiness over indulgent treats at The Salt House’s sumptuous Easter Sunday brunch with a curated menu {priced at INR 999 + taxes} by Chef Auroni Mookerjee. You can order a roast leg of mutton or the East-Indian inspired bottle masala chicken roast or try the favourite slow roasted pork belly {all items will be served with a side of cauliflower gratin, peyaj-koli mash, grilled vegetables, gravy and freshly baked hot-cross pavs}. Dig into our mouthwatering desserts and choose any one from salted caramel or berry and mascarpone trifle or the carrot and cream cheese fondant.

Eat Good Food

Whether you’re getting dressed up for brunch or dinner or a gathering friends and family at home, celebrate this Easter with Eat Good Food with an ‘egg-cellent’ selection of mouthwatering starters, entrees and desserts such as Hot Cross Buns {made of organic wheat flour mix with assorted nuts}, roast lamb marinated with thyme and rosemary and glazed with brown sauce served with bun and roast potatoes. To finish off the meal, try the eggless desserts such as the sugar-free carrot cake {made of organic wholewheat flour, instead of eggs using hang curd and fresh grated carrots}, and dark chocolate brownies {made of 70% dark Belgium chocolate and organic wheat flour and almond powder}.

JW Marriott

Easter celebrations begin at the Marriott with a specially curated activity {from 4.30 pm to 6pm} for kids at the Living Room, JW Studio on Friday, March 30, with an egg hunting contest. The top 3 children with the maximum number of eggs get to take away special Easter goodies. They will also host a cake decoration activity with a traditional Simnel cake. The workshop is priced at INR 500++.

On April 1, they will host an Easter Sunday brunch {INR 1,850 AI} from 12.30pm to 3.30pm with dishes such as bourbon-glazed ham with fennel, baby carrots, sweet potato, caramelised onion, asparagus}, a green coated lamb roulade with courgette cannelloni & ginger ale sauce, an olive and sundried tomato crusted potato dauphinoise alongside a special live counter offering assorted egg dishes. Their Asian and Indian live counters will also be open. And the desserts counter will serve up Easter carrot cake, pineapple-coconut bunny cake, citrus bundt cake, traditional British Simnel cake and hot cross buns. You can pick up Easter-special hampers {March 27 onward} with goodies like Easter raspberry lemon pound cake, chocolate Easter baskets, Easter eggs and bunnies. Alongside the food will be unlimited servings of beer and a variety of sangrias.

One of Salt Lake’s most popular cafes will host an Easter egg hunt from 9am to 12 noon on April 1. The chocolate eggs will be hidden throughout the cafe. Participants will be given a basket to put all their eggs in and you get to keep all the eggs you find! Best part? There is no registration required nor any fee {you just have to be a customer} and it’s open to all ages.
The special Easter foods you can pick up that day will include cinnamon buns,  Easter special cheese treats,  chocolate boxes and Easter drink pre mixes.
They will also host a book club meet that day and talks about Kolkata’s heritage. So stick around.

The Factory Outlet

TFO is putting up a month-long menu focussed on everything eggs. They will have an omelette station dishing out a variety of fluffy creations from cheese and mushroom to the Dozy {minced meat and grilled peppers, oniion and tomato}, and an egg-whites omelette with herbs {from INR 110 to 135}. Or you can try desi stuff like an Anda Bhurji Pao or an Anda Wrap {INR 145 and 125}. The ‘eggstra’ menu will be on all of April.

Ozora

This skybar will serve up all-time favorites like Easter potatoes, ham and cranberry stuffed chicken breast with paprika cream sauce, wine poached pear with vanilla ice cream and much more. The veg Easter spread is INR 1,500++ and the non-veg is INR 1,800++ {for two people}.
