What Is It?

Farida Gupta, a Delhi-based ethnic-wear label, known for its exquisite hand embroidery and traditional block prints, will be exhibiting her latest spring/summer collection for the first time in Kolkata on May 4 and 5.

The label has a range of wash-and- wear casual and formal ethnic apparel on offer including kurtas, anarkalis, short tops, kaftans, dresses, farsi pants, shararas, lounge pants and dupattas.

What's So Special?

The one thing that really sets apart Farida Gupta from other brands on the market is the fact that she works only with natural, lightweight fabrics that are super comfy. Mostly, soft cottons that are hand-block printed including prints like ajrakh, sanganeri, shibori, indigo, dabu and Mughal floral prints. We love how the different block prints, organic dyes, embroidery work and sequins come together to create hand-crafted elegance in hues ranging from pastels to bright florals.

The label also aims to help women from underprivileged sections of the society earn a better livelihood by upgrading their artisan skills and employing them. Tailored in sizes ranging from XS to XL, and priced between INR 900 – INR 3,000, there is something for every size and budget in her collection.

So, We're Saying...

Make a dash to the Birla Academy of Art and Culture on May 4 and 5 between 10 AM – 8 PM to get your paws on your favourite picks before they get sold out.
