What Makes It Awesome

BFF's wedding coming up and then there're the Xmas and NYE parties in tow? Of course, the plan is to rock them with your killer look. But if tight purse strings are worrying you, then hit up designer Yamini Malani's store.

It's a tiny store in Salt Lake City Centre's F Block, but don't let that deter you from rifling through the range of clothing. Her gowns and maxis are a thing to reckon with when it comes to good looks under a budget. Asymmetric cuts, subtle to bright colours and a balanced-out fusion look, they are made to perfect your OOTD. Made mostly with cotton silks and satin, they are perfect for our weather (and the fabrics also lend them a nice fall).

The slit maxis and open jackets done up in tissue and organza can amp up a layered look. The subtle colour palette has soft greys and light pistas to choose from. You'll also find bright reds with zari motifs or solid yellow jackets to pump up the winter mood.

Pearls are the 'it' thing this season, and we found a heavenly pearl net cape that's perfect to amp up any drab look. Blingy short capes and embroidered crop tops are also on the racks to get you ready for a late night party.

For your BFF's D-Day, you definitely don't want to outdo the bride, but looking gorgeous is a must too. Score gorgeous but subtle lehengas in self-embossed or zari-woven silks to get the perfect look. If the lehengas don't cut the deal, then try her short kurta and dhoti pants for a crisp and smart touch.

The Yamini Malani gowns start at INR 4,000, capes at INR 3,500, dhoti and jackets at INR 4,500 and lehengas at INR 6,000.
