What Makes It Awesome

If you live in Salt Lake, you've probably been to Haveli at least once for a family lunch or dinner. For those of you who haven't, well, read on to know why you should drop in today!

The place (all vegetarian) has a very Rajasthani royal ambience to it and is the perfect place for a family meal. They serve a wide selection of Rajasthani dishes along with North Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisines. Think soups, appetisers, kebabs, baked dishes, curries, different kinds of Indian breads and rice as well as desserts and mocktails.

Panch Mela Dal (five different varieties of dal cooked and tempered with Indian spices), Gatta Ki Subji (besan dumplings cooked in curd gravy) along with a few Missi Rotis (made of chick pea flour and flavoured with herbs and spices) and Chef Special Gatta Pulao are some of their must-try dishes. We also tried the Manchow soup (the best we've had in a while!), Chef Special Anita (a baked dish with cheese), Kalmi Vada, Tandoori Aloo and Crispy Chilli Babycorn and absolutely loved it!

If you're in the mood for North Indian, then the Dal E Haveli (their version of the popular kaali dal) and Shaam Savera is what we would recommend. The food is definitely worth the money. One visit just won't be enough.

Pro Tip

Besides the restaurant, Haveli also has a lounge, rooftop bar, banquet hall (150-180 people capacity) and guest suites. While the lounge has great ambience and a variety of snacks with exotic cocktails, the residential guest house (with 18 well-furnished modern rooms and complimentary breakfast) is quite commendable too.
