What Makes It Awesome

Looking for a place to pull sheesha with the buddies? Chai Break is where all the cool kids go to hang out. Head to any one of the Chai Break outlets for a chill vibe, thin crust pizza and copious amounts of hookah. They take ‘flavoured’ hookah to the next level (think Candy and Kiwi Mint!).

Some of the outlets like the Ballygunge and Southern Avenue ones are completely vegetarian but the food is filling and easy-to-share. They do their pizzas with a super thin crust (who doesn’t love a thin crust pizza?) and their pastas are seriously creamy. We love the Pesto Pasta and Four Cheese Pizza. Not just lemon, Chai Break also has raspberry, black currant and green apple ice tea.

They’re open from 10:30 am till midnight so you can chill at literally any time of the day. There are multiple outlets sprinkled across the city, so you’re sure to find one close to you. Some of the outlets also have day-time buffets and and boozy drinks to go with – hit up the Salt Lake, Sector V outlet.

We love the vibe of the Southern Avenue outlet best – cute interiors, quirky art on the wall and uber colourful entrance (the brightly coloured windows on the outside wall make for the perfect backdrop for a hipster photoshoot).

Pro-Tip

There is no separate section for hookah here. So, if you’re not into hookah or the smoke agitates you, you may want to avoid this place. Particularly in the peak hours, almost every table has hookah so the room tends to get very smoky.
