What Makes It Awesome

We found this women's wear store while scouting on AJC Bose Road and were really impressed with the range and how budget-friendly it is.

Ikki, a clothing store located on the fourth floor of Crescent Towers, stocks a wide collection of daily, fusion, occasion and contemporary wear for women, all of it designed by Kanchan (the owner) and made by her team of karigars. Most of the apparel is made of cotton but you'll find stuff in linen, satin, muslin, chiffon and tussar and chanderi silk. A lot of the collection boasts of unique drapes and cuts sure to make you stand out in the crowd. Choose from a wide selection of jumpsuits, dresses, kurtissalwar suits, tops, skirts and dupattas.

Most of the embroidery are done by hand - threadwork, aari, zari, zardozi, cutdana, mirror work, sequence and many more. Kanchan also takes inspiration from any form of art that she comes across. For instance, several kurtis have images of gods and goddesses, birds and nature (all of it inspired by paintings or prints that the owner came across during her travels) embroidered on them using threadwork. Watch out for her collection of handpainted dupattas - so elegant and artsy. Ikki also does blouses and all kinds of apparel for kids.

Ikki also stocks upcycled jewellery (neckpieces and bangles) made by hand using leftover fabrics and tassels. You'll also find a wide silver jewellery range of earrings, neckpieces, bracelets and kadas

The range here is super budget-friendly. Prices start at INR 1,200 and go up to INR 9,000. All kinds of customisations are done here. Have a particular design in mind or saw something interesting online? Show Kanchan the design and she'll make it for you. Need a contrasting blouse for your saree or a dupatta for your salwar suit? Well, Ikki will do it for you.

Pro-Tip

Ikki also stocks clothes by other designers like Anuja Bantia, Jaanvi Mohta, Radical, Shantam, Anushka Agarwal, Sugandh and Florrisonn. The store also does lehengas and wedding wear on order basis.

Also, notice century-old collectibles from the owner's grandmother's times used to do up the space.
