Save The Date: The India Story Is Coming Back & The Line-Up Is Awesome

The information in this post might be outdated

The wait is finally drawing to close and Thursday can't seem to arrive sooner. The grand annual lifestyle and art fest The India Story (TIS) is coming back with their fourth edition(13-16 December) in Swabhumi, and the lineup has sent us on a tizzy, making multiple to-do lists and plans with the gang. Here's a list of all the spectacular things that we're looking forward to, and we're sure you don't want to miss.

Art Check

Besides grandeur, the one element that makes TIS standout from other lifestyle and art fair/fests is its stress on art and aesthetics. The fantastic artworks and art installations create a marvelous show that awes us every year, and keeps us going Insta-crazy! This year be there to check out some fab artworks by Dithi Mukherjee, Amrita Saraogi, Jonathan Raoul Desmond Francis, Sahrish Rahman and others. Kadak Collective's gender bender graphic stories and zines are something that we are definitely excited to check out.

Music Gigs

Prateek Kuhad

Let's just fess up already that the amazing music line up of TIS has been one of the major reasons why we pack our squad and head here every year in the first place (of course, other things then just keep adding to the list). Last year it was Raghu Dixit that got us cheering and singing, this year it's Prateek Kuhad, guys! Yep, we're doing the squeal and happy jig too. Ziba, Chillout Devaa, Dance Cypher, 8 Bit Culprit are the other gigs to lookout for. Commercial and EDM music lovers, DJ Ugain and DJ Rishiboy will also be there to keep you groovin'.

Shop & Still Not Drop

We're taking our marathon zen with us at TIS because the legs may ache from covering every inch of Swabhumi's perimeter, but we're not up for half-assed shopping. A twelve-month wait to check the best brands and labels come together from across the country is totally worth the slight cramp. This year there's Aditi Somani, péro, Devnaagri, Suket Dhir, Antar-Agni, Toramally and others to check. Anantya's organic lifestyle items are a sure pick for us, and Isharaya and Tribe By Amrapali are a must check for jewellery. Oh, and coffee nerds, don't forget to pick Bili Hu's artisanal coffee here.

Stuff The Mouth

When shopping and the heavy bags weighing down on your shoulders leave you spent on energy, wait for none and hit up the food court right away. Half of the energy revival will start with all the fab choices that you'll be at your disposal, for the other half you can simply stuff your face. Artsy Cafe to Uno Chicago Pizzas, Hyatt Cafe, Ice O Metry, Shuktara Cakes, Keventers, Little Pleasures and more - there'll be enough variety to keep your hunger pangs away!

Hocus-Pocus

Hocus Pocus is the new mystic zone that TIS will have this year. Healers and experts from across the country to graphologist and numerology experts, this zone is presented by Sarita Mohta. There'll be angel card reading, aura photography, bio energy synthesis, aura photography and others to replenish you with good vibes.

Indigenous Crafts & NGOs

The handpicked and exclusive labels aside, we'll also be exploring TIS to pick some fab handicrafts and indigenous arts from the numerous NGOs and non-profit organizations that come here. Kadaam Haat, Hunar, Prayas, Deshaj, Rangsutra are some of the ones we are definitely checking out.
