The festival will have puppeteers from nine countries {including Italy, Germany, UK, Brazil, Singapore and Portugal}.

What Is It?

PUN, the international puppet festival is being billed as the biggest ever in India with artists from nine different countries coming together to perform in different venues across the city over six days.

Who Is It For?

Everyone – you will get to see some amazing puppeteers and the world.

Why Should I Go?

It’s gonna be a puppet invasion and the latest proof that puppetry, an art so often restricted to children or to fringe productions, has claimed a spot in the limelight. In an age when we seek relief from the relentless barrage of technology, this low-fi, handmade form provides it.

Tell Me More

“PUN” {Puppets Unite Neighbours} is a friendly approach uniting puppeteers from various countries on one platform, thereby exchanging cultural values through puppetry. The countries participating include UK, Germany, Peru, Portugal, Italy, Lithuania, Brazil, Singapore and India. You will get to see a variety of puppet acts ranging from string, rod, glove, shadow, knee, giant, human, theatre, street, interactive and balloon puppetry.

You can watch the performances at different venues across the city. On October 26, look out for the puppet parade through the city {it will start at 11am and end at Mohor Kunja}. On October 27 and 28, they will perform at Quest Mall from 1 pm to 4pm. On October 30, you can head to Axis Mall to watch an interactive session. The finale on October 31 will be at Gyan Manch from 4.30pm onwards.
