This tiny street stall boasts of one of the best junk jewellery stocks in the city. You’ll be playing dress-up for hours with their huge stock of ear rings, bracelets, jumbo cocktail rings and bold statement neck pieces.

We have seen so many street stalls in Kolkata selling jewellery but nothing like the collection we found at this stall on the pavement opposite Zaranj. Every piece is a standout one here. And everything is so trendy. Let's start with the earrings. A swishy explosion of colors and materials, tassel earrings have been a trend for a while now. Adorned with dangling colourful threads, these are a statement accessory with a poetic vibe. This stall has some great tassel pieces. The Mediterranean blue ones had us thinking of gypsy dances! We loved the one with tassels like bird feathers. Wear them with a denim jacket or with a strappy little dress with bare shoulders. Another must-buy here are the faux silver ear rings - we found one with cupid aiming an arrow and a gorgeous tree of life. The neckpieces range from delicate birds and flowers to big, chunky peacocks - all very well crafted.

Countless bracelets gracefully adorning arms and wrists is a playful trend that is back. And this stall has an excellent stock of bracelets that you can even wear as anklets or have them extended (lots of stalls in Gariahat and Dakhinapan will do that) and wear as a choker. We particularly loved the one with tiny elephants! If you are looking for something chunky, try the maxi metal cuffs or the spiky bands that reminded us of The Game Of Thrones! The guy manning the stall said they get their collection from Colaba Causeway. No wonder the pieces are so well crafted and trendy! And you will be glad to know that prices are very reasonable - starting from around INR 80 to INR 500+, depending on the intricacy of the piece.
