What Makes It Awesome

Your search for something different for a summer wedding do, that big family get-together, office parties or Sunday brunch with friends can now be addressed by July boutique in Ballygunge.

July boutique has a collection of chic, summery dresses, and Indo-Western evening wear done just right. Looking for something chic for a cocktail party or a night out? Their dresses in blacks and greys will fit the bill. We loved the buoyant dresses in yellows and greens with gorgeous embroidery. Light, bright and packed with sunshine, they are perfect for a summer brunch or a mehendi ceremony. All the clothes have some amount of work using beads, shell or zardozi, but nothing is overdone, so the quality of fabrics and cuts show through. Keeping Kolkata's weather in mind, the designer works with cotton-based fabrics like denim, khadi, muslin, etc. to sport around all through the year.

And they have the perfect accessories to go with the dresses – scarves, shawls, belts, bags, jewellery and more. You can also get them customised to your taste – from the colour to the fabric, and improvise on the embroidery placement.

Incidentally, this is July’s second avtaar. The popular city boutique by Tanya Jaiswal just relocated to its current, much bigger space on Ballygunge Circular Road. Bigger space also means not a just fashion retail, but an amalgamation of clothes and accessories, along with a photography studio by Tanya’s husband, Gautam Vir Prashad.

The ground floor houses the fashion boutique and the mezzanine section has the photography studio. As you walk up to the studio, find a collection of photographs clicked by Gautam, printed on canvas and enhanced with embroidery work and embellishments. The studio is equipped to take care of your special photoshoot requirements. Prices begin from INR 4,000 onwards.
