Nothing feels better than a pool during the scorching Kolkata summer (which is just around the corner). The city has several pools you can join for the season - some also let you pay per day or for a few months.

Saltlake Swimming Pool

With two indoor pools and classes for novices and amateurs, the BF block swimming pool is a preferred destination for Salt Lake folks. It is known for its coaching classes for children and women.

YMCA Swimming Club

Located in old Kolkata, the YMCA Swimming Club in College Square boasts of a 50-meter long outdoor pool. They offer pro training for novices for under INR 500.

Indian Life Saving Society

Indian Life Saving Society, or Anderson Club as it is popularly known, houses both indoor and outdoor pools and has provision for amateur swimmers.

The Tollygunge Club

Established by Sir William Cruikshank in the year 1895, the Tollygunge Club is known for its quality of water and for being one of the oldest established swimming clubs in Kolkata. Currently, the pool is only open for members. Guests are welcome along the members.

Calcutta Sports Association

Situated adjacent to Rabindra Sarobar near Golpark, the Calcutta Sports Association houses the most preferred swimming pool for residents of South Kolkata. It has an outdoor pool, which spans a length of 50-meters and boasts of separate ladies swimming sessions.

DKS

This space next to Deshopriyo Park has a fairly good-sized and clean pool which you can use even if you are not a member of the club. They have a reasonably priced annual fee structure - and if you are taking cricket coaching here, you can avail of a discount as well.

Clubs At The Lakes

There are several swimming pools all around the lakes area (Rabindra Sarobar) - like Andersons Club, the Lake Club and ILSS (it has a 50 meter pool with 8 lanes).
