What Is It?
The Kolkata Jazzfest is the annual pilgrimage of all the musicians in the city to watch international artists who fly down for a weekend dedicated to jazz. This year’s line up looks as good as any with performers from everywhere {Italy to Luxembourg}. Kefaya, India’s very own Amyt Datta and Pol Belardis’s Urban 5 will be performing on day 1. On day 2, Erik Truffaz and Riatsu, Mn’Jam Experiment and Florain Favre Trio will be hitting the stage. On the last {and historically, the best!} day Cruise Control on Trio, EYM trio ft. Mirande Shah and C.A.R. will be live.
Usually the Jazzfest happens in early November. We’re loving the fact that this year it’s in December – the weather is so much better {perfect to drink all the rum!}.
Who Is It For?
Music lovers, jazz fanatics and anyone looking for a chill evening out – you cannot miss this experience.
Why Should I Go?
The Jazzfest is an iconic annual event of the city. The open-air concert is what jazz dreams are made of. Be surrounded by music enthusiasts in a super chill environment {where the alcohol is reasonably priced!}, there’s no reason not to go.
