Explore And Document Kolkata With These Photowalks Through The Winter

What Is It?
It’s a series of photowalks through Kolkata organised by city walking tour outfit LetUsGo alongwith award-winning photographer Kamalesh Kamila and upcoming photographer Sandeepan Sarkar. They will be starting of with three photowalks and they’re are planning to add few more in the coming weeks.
You can choose between a Victoria Memorial photowalk, a walk through Kumartuli {lowlight}, a photowalk besides the Ganges {including Princep Ghat}.
Why Should I Go?
The first hour of the walks will be spent understanding the following: types of photography, cameras and lenses and technical factors such as exposure/shutter speed, ISO, aperture, depth of field, white balance, image format and framing.
The next 90 minutes will be spent going around the place trying to shoot, putting into practice the what you learnt. The last half hour will be utilised looking through people’s works, critiquing, discussing things that work {or do not}, problems faced and how to overcome them, etc.
They will also help you choose a long-term project that you could do based on your interests. You can even ask them to review your photos over the internet in future.
Anything Else?
The walks {starting at 7 AM} will be held on weekends – October 7, 8 and 14. You can choose a date according to your convenience. The fees are INR 799. Find out more here.
