Kolkata's First Luxury Houseboat For Corporate Events Is Here

The House Boat is an initiative by the West Bengal Tourism which has made corporate events way more quirky. It is Kolkata’s first luxury houseboat for corporate events and the address for the party is a notch above normal – in the middle of the river! The charge for this is on the rather side as you can book it for INR 5,000 per hour. The timings of the boat run from 6 am up until 11 pm. The boat does not have a kitchen space and packed food needs to arranged for the party. The boat is completely air conditioned, covered by full glass panels. It also offers a seating capacity of 30 people for which the boat provides 30 chairs.

Head to the new Babughat Jetty because that is where you will be able to board the boat from. The booking office is located at BBD Bag and the counter remains open from 10:30 am – 4:30 pm on Fridays and 10:30 am to 1 pm on Sundays. So hurry up and go book your space! In fact, the government is running a 15 per cent discount on this, except for weekends and public holidays. 

Alcohol or hard beverages are not allowed without permission from the Excise Department so make sure all your permissions are in place.
