Next time you’re looking for an eclectic one-stop-shop for all your food, shopping and entertainment needs, head over to Lake Mall.
Best Things To Do Here
Specialty Shops
As soon as you get through security and take the escalators up one level, you will find several offbeat shops. If you are looking for beautiful, colourful ethnic attire, Boutique Waalaa, Mriganavi, The Fashion India Moutique, Heritage Plus, Mahis and Vijay Sarees are great destinations. Also check out Simpas, which has a flat 50% off sale on kurtis and tops from time to time (they have one right now); they also have adorable handwoven bags that are priced under INR 300.
Need some jewellery? There’s Fasio. Looking for scarves? Red Riding has a collection priced between INR 99 to 299. Want to pick up something for your house? Swing by Home Sense (they have nice cushions). And, if you are craving specialty tea, Golden Tips has you covered.
Just For Men
Gentlemen, Lake Mall has something just for you, too! Upgrade your wardrobe at Moustache and Passport. And, if you still aren’t satisfied, there’s Globus which has a large variety of clothing and accessories for boys and men.
Happy Feet
Ladies, need some pampering after a super hectic week? Walk into Bellezzio Fashion Saloon, or The Thai Spa. Want to get your nails done? Nail Art (located on the food court level) has French polishes priced at INR 350, basic nail art priced at INR 600 and gel options priced at INR 1,200.
Catch A Movie
Need to catch up on a few good films? Treat yourself to a movie marathon at Cinepolis, whic has several films screening at any given time. Pssst, their snack bar options are pretty darn good.
Food Court
Once you purchase a Yum Street (yes, that’s the name of their food court) card, you can walk into a pan-India food wonderland. Although there are options like Café Coffee Day, Coffee World, KFC, The Noodle Story, Amul, Dominos and Keventers, I suggest trying something different.
Chai Nasta brings a taste of Mumbai to Kolkata with classic vada paavs and chaai (their moong daal laddus are yummy, too). The cilantro dosas at Dakshin are delicious. And, a few dhoklas from Gujrati Zayka will go great with a cup of piping hot tea. If you are looking for non-vegetarian options, Plate & Poultry, Roasted Grill, Mughal Shugal, Tropical Chinese and Shawarma King will certainly satisfy your appetite.
Shoes, Glorious Shoes
Those feet were meant for walking, so put on a pair of new, comfy shoes from Payless, or Reliance Footprint – both of these shops are conveniently located on the same level.
Big Bazaar
Stock up on kitchen crockery, toiletries, dairy stuff like butter, cheese and cold cuts etc at Big Bazaar. They also do home furnishings — look out for bedsheets, mats, and some excellent apron sets and kitchen towels.
